🔒 Files never leave your device

PDF tools that don't upload your PDFs

Merge, split, compress, redact, watermark, unlock, and convert PDFs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so there's no signup, no waiting in a queue, no upload bar, and no watermark on the output. Close the tab and the file is gone from our side — because it was never on our side.

How we compare

Why this exists

PDFs stay on your machine

Open DevTools and watch the Network tab. Nothing leaves except page assets.

No signup or file-size cap

The math is simple: we don't pay for servers, because there aren't any.

No watermarks, no "Pro" tier

What you download is what you get.

Works on a plane

Load the page on Wi-Fi, then turn it off. The tools keep running.

Questions people actually ask

Are my PDFs really not uploaded?

Yes. Open DevTools, watch the Network tab, then run a tool. You'll see requests for the page and library code — never for your PDF. Or just turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads. The tools keep working.

Is there a file size limit?

Whatever your device can hold in memory. A modern laptop handles a few hundred MB without complaining. Phones struggle past 50 MB.

Are the redactions actually safe?

Yes, when you use our "True Redact" tool. It re-rasterizes each page so the text underneath the black bar is permanently gone — not just visually covered. Most online redactors just draw a rectangle on top, leaving the underlying text recoverable. See the redact tool.

Why is this free?

Display ads. No upsell, no premium tier, no watermark.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Slower than a laptop on big files, but it works. iOS Safari and Chrome on Android both fine.
