Sejda is a competent online PDF editor with one famous flaw: a tight free-tier cap (3 tasks per hour, 200 pages per task, 50MB file size). Their pitch is that the cap funds the service. Our pitch is that you don't need a cap when there's no server to fund.

When Sejda is the right choice
Sejda has a text-editing feature for PDFs that we don't currently match. If you need to fix a typo in an existing PDF without re-rendering, Sejda is worth the cap.
When PDFToolBench wins
For everything else — merge, split, compress, OCR, redact, unlock, page operations — we're uncapped, free, and never upload your files.
